Working with a client presenting with complex trauma + recent job loss. Anyone navigated the tension between stabilization work and the immediate practical crisis? Feeling pulled in two directions.

🎉 PASSED MY SUPERVISION HOURS REVIEW. After 3,000 hours and two years of solo documentation hell — I am officially fully licensed. This community kept me going when I almost quit.

Honest check-in: I have seen 28 clients this week and I have not left my house. Setting a boundary with myself — no new intakes until I take a real lunch break three days in a row. Posting here so I'm accountable.

Quick ethics question: client disclosed something in session that technically meets reporting criteria but context is genuinely murky. Has anyone consulted with their ethics board directly? How did that go?

A client I have worked with for 3 years just told me they're ready to terminate — because they're doing that well. I have no one else to tell. I am sitting here crying the good kind of tears.

I had my first real peer consultation in three years last Tuesday. It took me forty minutes to solve something I had been stuck on for weeks.

The milestones channel alone is worth it. I celebrated getting my LMFT in a room full of people who understood exactly what that journey cost.

I was going to leave the field. Burnout was bad. Someone in the self-care channel noticed I hadn't posted in two weeks and checked on me. That was six months ago. I'm still here.
